Upcoming

Soterix Medical ElectraRx Webinar

Brain Science Tool TMS Neuronavigation Webinar

Navigated rTMS is an increasingly popular treatment option for patients with psychiatric disorders such as major depressive disorder (MDD) and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). Additionally, the application of TMS for the prognosis and treatment of stroke patients suffering from upper limb impairment is increasing in popularity. However, guiding the TMS coil to the target brain area needs to be performed accurately in order to obtain efficient and reliable treatment and diagnostic outcomes. By using an MRI-guided neuronavigation system, an individual's MRI scan is used to accurately guide the TMS coil to the brain region of interest.
In this webinar we give an overview of the latest insights of MRI-guided neuronavigation and we inform about its application in a large randomised controlled trial in subacute stroke patients. After these two lectures, we will demonstrate our latest rTMS and MRI-guided neuronavigation equipment and teach you how to use the equipment successfully.

The webinar will take place at 9:30 am (ET) on December 9th, 2020.

This webinar will include:

  • Introduction to Neuronavigation – 45 mins
  • B-STARS trial: TMS Treatment during stroke rehabilitation - 30 mins
  • Online demo: MRI-guided Neuronavigation for rTMS treatment and motor cortex mapping - 45 mins

Soterix Medical ElectraRx Webinar

Brain Science Tool Neuro-Cardiac-Guided Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Webinar

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is an increasingly popular treatment option for patients with major depression disorder (MDD) and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). It has been approved by the FDA since 2009, is CE certified for clinical use in the EU and is reimbursed by health care insurers. Still, there are many different ways of placing the TMS coil over the target brain area.
This webinar presents an introduction on TMS and a relatively new technique for placing the TMS coil over a target brain region: neuro-cardiac-guided TMS. This method employs heart rate assessed during TMS stimulation to verify 'target engagement' of the Frontal-Vagal network, that is hypothesized to be involved in depression. Two experts in the field of TMS and neuro-cardiac-guided TMS will guide you through the latest advancements and will share their insights. There will be ample room to ask questions.

The webinar will take place at 9:30 am (ET) on December 8th, 2020.

This webinar will include:

  • The history of TMS – 45 mins
  • Precision TMS: Use of EEG and ECG in optimising and predicting treatment response - 30 mins

Brain Science Tools Webinar on Navigated rTMS treatment for Depression

Navigated rTMS is an increasingly popular treatment option for patients with major depression. It has been approved by the FDA since 2009, is CE certified for clinical use in the EU and is reimbursed by an increasing number of health care insurers. Still, there are a range of different rTMS protocols available to the clinician, and the TMS coil can be placed in the target region in many different ways. It is hence not surprising that results can vary significantly, and that best practices continue to be improved.
The current webinar presents the latest insights into how rTMS is best applied in the treatment of depression, and how MRI guided neuronavigation can be used to improve TMS targeting and clinical outcome. Two experts in the field will guide you through latest developments and share their insights. There will be ample room to ask questions. In between both lectures, we will demonstrate our latest rTMS and MRI guided neuronavigation equipment, and teach you how to use the equipment successfully.

The webinar will take place at 5:00 am (ET) on August 25th, 2020.
