Animal Transcranial Focused Ultrasound Stimulation (tFUS) system

The only preclinical solution designed for Neuromodulation. Repeatable and controlled targeting using real-time acoustic feedback. Integrated stereotaxic frame and atlas for easy target selection. Option for MRI compatibility.

The RK-50 is a preclinical FUS system capable of delivering precise ultrasound exposures in the rodent brain. The system includes everything you need to start ultrasound brain studies out of the box. The arbitrary waveform generator allows the generation of precise waveforms and ensures synchronized operation. Targeting is achieved using a rodent digital brain atlas and stereotactic methods, or with MRI using a custom attachment. The 3-axis positioning system with the stereotactic frame ensures fast and precise multi-point targeting. The RK-50 uses real-time acoustic feedback with a built-in hydrophone to ensure rigorous and repeatable application. The system can be configured to work on a benchtop or on a laboratory cart.

Treatment Planning Software

The PC software is highly intuitive and powerful, without requiring ultrasound expertise. It provides full control over all ultrasound parameters, enabling a wide range of experimentation. Stereotactic targeting is shown on the left and MRI targeting is shown on the right below.

RF electronics

The system includes state-of-the-art RF custom electronics built specifically for FUS applications. The calibration electronics comprises of function generators, amplifiers, and directional power meters.

Calibrated transducers

Custom-built and calibrated transducers for generating focused ultrasound waves. These specialized transducers include integrated cavitation detectors for real-time feedback control of acoustic exposures.
