Efficiently track need for calibration or repair.

Soterix Medical Quality Assurance Tester System

The Quality Assurance Tester (QAT) solution for the BrainSonix tFUS system now provides quality assurance in the hands of researchers and experimenters. The solution operationalizes QA at the point of use. Quality assurance continues to be critical to ensure consistent and safe dosing as well as reproducibility. Quality assurance procedures have been established for high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) solutions but none currently exist for routine low-intensity applications.

The state-of-the-art QAT solution now allows researchers to perform QA before and after every session or at a frequency as they deem appropriate. The QAT solution includes three main components: 1) QAT main unit, 2) QAT remote unit, and 3) GUI application running on a PC. The QAT main unit is designed to receive the programmed output from the Pulsar tFUS system and compare values to the actual measured values obtained from the QAT remote unit. The QAT remote unit incorporates a specialized polymer hydrophone receiver for acoustic signal measurement. The QAT remote unit is MRI compatible, so the solution can be used in conjunction with MRI and fMRI experiments.

Easy-to-use and intuitive QAT GUI

Soterix Medical Quality Assurance Tester System GUI

Use the GUI to measure drive voltage, drive current, hydrophone signal, and transducer electrical impedance values. Verify programmed pulse repetition frequency, pulse duration, and even “pure” drive amplitude by testing with a dummy load. Use the logging feature to save last measured values and host of other features.
